El mapa y el territorio

Installation, Clauselito del Museo de la Ciudad, Mexico, 2011

Camera obscura installed in the Historical Museum of Mexico City. It faced southeast and the exterior was projected inside in real time: airplanes flying by, the wind, passers by. Urban landscape was altered through the lens: a hole in the wall and a mirror. The outside view was intervened by placing a structure to reflect the Torre Latinoamericana (Mexico City's former tallest building), which stands on the opposite side of the view, as a mirage.

Wood, black curtain. 3.5 x 0.7 x 3.5 m
